In the first weekend we launched a series of generative exercises, working with found images from art history. The students explored ways of integrating figures and ground using materials like gesso, charcoal, monoprinting and wax. This was just the beginning of exploring both ideas that emerge and the possibilities of the techniques, and we are very excited to meet up again next time, when colour is on the table!
